The Automobile Club du Luxembourg (ACL) has announced that its Board of Directors appointed Miriam Eisenmenger as CEO, succeeding Jean-Claude Juchem, who will be retiring at the end of 2024.
Miriam Eisenmenger is set to succeed Jean-Claude Juchem, who has been in this role for ten years. The ACL Board of Directors, under the leadership of its President Yves Wagner, announced the appointment with effect from 1 April 2024, following the departure upon the retirement of Jean-Claude Juchem at the end of the year.
“The mobility sector is changing, and with the arrival of Ms Miriam Eisenmenger, we are starting a new chapter for the ACL,” declares Yves Wagner. ACL noted they expect her to bring a “breath of fresh air and dynamism”, and that they trust she will ensure the sustainability of the ACL as a club and brand.
“We are confident that Ms Eisenmenger's expertise and commitment to the mobility and automotive sector will enable us to successfully meet current and future challenges, while continuing to provide high-quality service. We look forward to building a promising future for the ACL with her and our colleagues,” highlighted Yves Wagner, president of the ACL.
Furthermore, he expressed “sincere gratitude” to Jean-Claude Juchem for his dedication to the ACL over the last ten years. Yves Wagner added that Jean-Claude Juchem’s leadership has been an “important pillar” of the ACL’s success.
Arriving at the ACL in 2014, Jean-Claude Juchem decided by mutual agreement with the Board of Directors to assert his retirement rights. By the end of the year, he will also end his representation mandates in certain companies including SNCT and CFC.
Jean-Claude Juchem said: “After a rich and rewarding decade at the head of the ACL, the time has come for me to begin a new chapter. It is with a certain pride that I pass the torch to our new CEO. I am particularly delighted that management will be entrusted to a competent and dynamic woman. In the months to come, I am committed to ensuring a smooth transition, by sharing key files and accumulated know-how with them, to continue to strengthen our assistance and mobility mission.”
With more than 20 years of operational experience in the Luxembourg automotive sector, Miriam Eisenmenger, 46, previously held the position of spokesperson and Head of Marketing & Communication at Losch Luxembourg and brings with her valuable experience in the automotive sector.
“It is with great enthusiasm that I accept this new challenge. Mobility is one of the most important future themes. I want to lead the club towards a promising and secure future. The value of an ACL membership must clearly extend beyond car ownership. The ACL is a mobility club that places people and all their mobility needs at the centre of its concerns,” concluded Miriam Eisenmenger.
